Bigger isn’t always better…
….and that’s certainly the case when it comes to private health insurance.
In fact a recent AMA Private Health Insurance Report Card published on March 17, shows that insurers with the highest average benefits were not-for-profit, community based and member-owned funds.
The AMA’s Report Card adds to the mounting evidence that bigger is not always better when it comes to choosing your private health insurance provider,” Members Health Fund Alliance (previous known as Hirmaa) CEO Matthew Koce said.
As the peak body for 19 of Australia’s not-for-profit, member-owned and community-based health insurance providers, Members Health Fund Alliance has welcomed the AMA’s assessment of the industry.
Not-for-profit insurers out-ranked their for-profit counterparts on common yet vital benefit areas such as cataract surgery, knee replacements, coronary bypass surgeries and stents.
Phoenix Health Fund are proud to be a member-owned health fund. We constantly strive to provide the best level of cover, quality of customer support and member satisfaction possible.
If you are currently with another provider and are thinking of switching, switching your health insurance is super easy, find out how to switch.
