24/7 Policy Manager Portal
You can amend your policy before you travel for a range of adjustments, such as contact details, travel dates and destinations, by logging into the Policy Manager portal (using your policy number, DOB and a six-digit code sent to your nominated mobile phone).
Simple Claims Process
If something happens while you are travelling, making a claim is simple with the insurer’s online claims portal. You can make a claim online while you are still travelling or when you return.

Travel Insurance and COVID-19
Eligible policyholders may now have the flexibility to cancel their insurance policy and receive a full or partial premium refund if travel is impacted by COVID-19 border closures or mandatory quarantine periods.
Phoenix Health Travel Insurance offers cover under selected benefits if, during your period of cover, you are positively diagnosed as suffering a sickness recognised as an epidemic or pandemic, such as COVID-19, and you have not travelled against the advice of an Australian Government. Travelling with Epidemics and Pandemics
Travel has changed dramatically since COVID-19 became a worldwide pandemic. This product has a general exclusion, with limited exceptions, against epidemics and pandemics. That means the insurer does not cover claims that arise from, or are related to, an epidemic or pandemic.
However, Phoenix Health Travel Insurance offers cover under selected benefits if, during your period of cover, you are positively diagnosed as suffering a sickness recognised as an epidemic or pandemic, such as COVID-19. Refer to the Product Disclosure Statement to see which benefits offer cover in the event that you are positively diagnosed as suffering a sickness recognised as an epidemic or pandemic, and the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions that apply.
If a COVID-19 border closure or mandatory quarantine period prevents you from travelling or requires you to shorten your journey while travelling, you may be entitled to cancel your policy and receive a partial or full premium refund; refer to the Product Disclosure Statement for terms and conditions.
Make sure you stay up to date and comply with travel information for COVID-19 from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Smartraveller website, World Health Organisation (WHO), and Department of Home Affairs.
In addition to visas, COVID-19 testing, and proof of vaccination requirements, many countries now have compulsory insurance and medical cover proof conditions. Prior to travelling, check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of your destination.

Depending on your age, where you are travelling to, the length of your trip, you may be offered one, two or three different plans. The below is only a summary.
Domestic
This Domestic plan offers cover for a single trip within Australia. It is designed to cover personal liability, luggage, unexpected trip cancellation*, and more.*
Plus, for an additional premium, you may be eligible to add Snow , Cruise and Adventure packs, increase item limits, and apply for pre-existing medical condition cover.
Essentials
This Essentials Plan offers budget-friendly cover for a single overseas trip. It is designed to cover overseas medical, hospital and dental expenses, personal liability, luggage, and unexpected trip cancellation.*
Comprehensive
This Comprehensive Plan offers cover for a single overseas trip. It is designed to cover overseas medical, hospital and dental expenses, personal liability, luggage, unexpected trip cancellation*, and much more.*
Plus, for an additional premium, you may be eligible to add Snow , Cruise and Adventure packs, increase item limits, and apply for pre-existing medical condition cover.
Multi-Trip
This Multi-Trip Plan offers cover for multiple trips within a 12-month period. Each individual trip can be up to 15, 30 or 45 days in duration. For overseas trips, it offers all the benefits of the Comprehensive Plan; and for domestic trips, it offers all the benefits of the Domestic Plan.
Plus, for an additional premium, you may be eligible to add Snow , Cruise and Adventure packs, increase item limits, and apply for pre-existing medical condition cover.

Optional Cover
For an additional premium, you may be eligible to add one or more of the following optional covers to Comprehensive, Multi-Trip and Domestic plans.*

Snow Pack
Going to the snow? You may be eligible to add a Snow Pack that is designed to cover snow sport activities including amateur skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tobogganing, or tubing.
A Snow Pack covers overseas snow sport emergency assistance, loss or damage to equipment, and more.*

Cruise Pack
Going sea or ocean cruising? Add a Cruise Pack, which is designed to cover medical costs on board, ship to shore evacuation, pre-paid shore excursion cancellation, cabin confinement and more.*

Adventure Pack
Doing adventure activities? You may be eligible to add an Adventure Pack to your plan that is designed to cover a wide range of adventure activities including riding motorcycles, mopeds and scooters, quad biking, zip lining, river tubing, animal handling, and much more.*

Increased Item Limits Cover
Taking higher-value items? To increase the item limit for higher-value items, add Increased Item Limits Cover to your plan, so your item may be covered for a higher value, should it be stolen, lost or damaged.*
Cover Types
Depending on the plan you choose, Phoenix Health Travel Insurance will assign one of the following cover types to your plan so you can easily identify which benefit limits apply to you. Single
Covers you and your dependants named on the Certificate of Insurance who are aged under 25 years, not employed full-time and will be with you for 100% of your journey.

Duo
Covers you and your traveling companion named on the Certificate of Insurance who is not a dependant and will be with you for at least 75% of your journey.

Family
Covers you, your spouse or partner, and your dependents named on the Certificate of Insurance who are aged under 25 years, not employed full-time and will be with you for 100% of your journey.
